The thrill of REAL magic: Author/Illustrator Brian Lies shares the thrill of reading

Brian Lies“The thrill of reading is that it is REAL magic.

What else transports you to a different place or time so convincingly?

Movies grab you, but not as thoroughly as a story does.  When you’re reading, you don’t notice the outside world—plus, you don’t have to put up with sticky floors, the crunching of other people’s candy wrappers, or the person behind you pushing on the seat back and talking in the middle of the best parts.  In fact, I’ll bet that some part of you actually felt like you were in a movie theater when you read THAT!

Reading takes your brain to other places. The experience feels real.  There’s nothing like it.”

-Award-winning Author/Illustrator Brian Lies’ books include”Malcolm at Midnight,” “More,” and the successful “Bats at…” series.  Learn more about his work at www.brianlies.com.
