Business Support plays a key role in providing an important resource for much-needed funds and volunteers for Raising a Reader Massachusetts. It offers the opportunity for organizations of all sizes to partner with us in a way that’s both approachable and meaningful for them and their employees.
Financial
Support
By supporting Raising a Reader Massachusetts through donations and grants, you, your employees, and your customers are partnering with us in our mission and investing in the future of the children participating in our program.
Volunteer
Support
By volunteering with Raising a Reader Massachusetts, you and your employees have the opportunity to support our program by offering time and talents in support of our overall program.
In-Kind
Support
By donating space or supplies, you are enabling Raising a Reader Massachusetts to further expand our reach by supplying materials beyond our annual budget that allow us to do even more for our communities and families.

Direct Federal Credit Union (DFCU) has been a strong partner with us in a wide variety of ways – event sponsorship, donations, volunteers.
Now, they’ve launched a Raising a Reader MA branded debit card as part of their Direct Impact Checking Account that will support our work with each purchase. You can learn more about it here.
Kiss 108 has been an outstanding advocate for our work. With the support of Lisa Donovan and Billy Costa from Billy & Lisa in the Morning, and the Lisa’s Book Club author event series, we have not only raised funds in support of our mission but also awareness of our organization among new audiences. To date, Lisa’s Book Club has generated over $NUMBER worth of donations to our program.

Ninety Plus Cellars joined us as a sponsor of our Dinner with an Author gala, but they’re support has expanded to now include annual donations coming from their seasonal limited-edition favorite, Boston Rosé – a partnership between us and Lisa Donovan’s Lisa’s Book Club author event series. In 2026, they donated $10,000 to our program!
Book Ends in Winchester is an outstanding independent bookstore that is a community hub and favorite. They have been a strong supporter for years through book donation drives and financial support. To date, they have donated over NUMBER forever books to Raising a Reader MA families.

Round Up For Literacy
Our Round Up For Literacy program is an opportunity for independent bookstores to partner with Raising a Reader Massachusetts in a simple, but powerful way.
By asking patrons to round up their purchases – with the difference being donated to Raising a Reader Massachusetts – small gifts of just a few cents will add up quickly. They would help to supply families in communities throughout the Commonwealth with the early literacy education supports and materials they need to form a solid educational foundation prior to entering school.
For more information, please contact Angela Haynes, Director of Development, by email at angela@raisingareaderma.org or by phone at 617-823-9618.
