Morgan Stanley Gives Back in June

For Morgan Stanley, June represents a time for giving back to their communities. This year, Raising A Reader MA was lucky enough to have the support of twelve staff members during their annual Global Volunteer Month. In honor of this month of volunteerism, Morgan Stanley employees have already donated over two million hours since 2006 and this year was no exception.

Volunteers from Morgan Stanley Boston supported us with outreach and administrative work on three separate days throughout June. To kick things off, their staff joined us for a story time at a local Boston library, as part of a four event series to promote the importance of early literacy. A small group from Morgan Stanley Boston helped make the story time at Egleston Square Public Library in Roxbury an even greater success.

A group of Morgan Stanley volunteers support RAR MA with an evening of data entry.

Following that event, we had two evenings of data entry to enter parent surveys from families in our program. Together Morgan Stanley volunteers entered a total of 60 surveys. These surveys are essential in helping us understand the overall program impact and ensure that we have the data needed to improve decision-making for the next program year.

Thank you again to everyone who came out to support us from Morgan Stanley Boston, and a special shout out to Holden Hodgson and Diane Court for all of the support coordinating the events.
