We’re excited to be welcoming two outstanding fall interns: Chelsea Fitzgerald (Endicott College) and Jayden Beverly (Emerson College). They both are talented and eager to make an impact during their time with Raising a Reader MA.
Learn more about them by reading their bios:
Jayden Beverly
My name is Jayden Beverly, and I am a graduate student at Emerson College pursuing my master’s in Publishing. I have a bachelor’s degree in Writing, Literature, and Publishing and an associate degree in Literature.
I currently work as a Development & Impact Media Intern at Raising a Reader MA and previously worked as the Editorial Assistant of Orders at Ploughshares. As a military kid who moved around a lot, I grew up finding comfort and a sense of stability in books. Reading also helped me connect with others and build community, which is a big part of what drew me to Raising a Reader MA and its work in early literacy.
Chelsea Fitzgerald
My name is Chelsea Fitzgerald, and I am a senior Marketing Communication/Advertising major and Hospitality Management minor at Endicott College. Becoming a Development & Events intern at Raising a Reader MA is such an incredible opportunity, as I have always focused on advocating for childhood literacy. Starting at 7 years old, I ran a 10-year-long book drive for a similar organization in my home state of Connecticut. This was my first exposure to event planning, marketing, and nonprofit work. Being able to incorporate those learning opportunities, along with my professional and academic experiences, made RAR-MA stand out to me. I have already learned so much from the team, and I cannot wait to expand my knowledge more as we plan future events, including Lisa’s Book Clubs and the 2027 Dinner with an Author Gala.
Outside of the office, I am a dancer, content creator for my college, avid reader, and the biggest Disney fan you will meet. If you visited Walt Disney World in spring 2025, you might have seen me on my Disney College Program working at my favorite attraction, the Haunted Mansion. Some of my favorite childhood stories that continue to shape my TBR as an adult include Amelia Bedelia, Nancy Drew, and the Kingdom Keepers.
