The following volunteer positions are available in the greater Boston area

Outreach Volunteer-Boston area

Raising A Reader MA serves diverse communities. As such, we are in need of bilingual volunteers who can translate outreach materials and call parents about upcoming community events. Some high-demand languages are Haitian-Creole, Portuguese, Arabic, Mandarin, and Cantonese. Other outreach responsibilities, such as interpretation, may be assigned according to interest and need. English Conversation Partner-Boston area

We are looking for volunteers to help our Parent Ambassadors with their English language learning. Volunteers must be FLUENT ENGLISH SPEAKERS, and will be responsible for meeting interested parents at the Chelsea Public Library for conversation practice at prearranged times. Event Support Volunteer-Boston area**

Event support volunteers will help us at parent workshops and community tabling events in a number of capacities. We are looking for volunteers who can provide on-site child care, collect sign-in information, and assist with set-up. Consider this position if you are outgoing and comfortable supervising children. There are often one-time volunteer opportunities to help RAR MA staff in various capacities, such as sorting books, data entry, and other tasks. We are also open to new ideas if you have particular skills and abilities that are applicable to our work. We look forward to hearing from you!
