We’re just under a month out from the Rodman Ride and it’s time to feature another of our volunteer riders! Ja’so Shotts is a partner at Ironside Insurance Group and the treasurer of Raising A Reader MA’s Emerging Leaders Board. He’s participating in the Rodman Ride for the second time this year. Here’s why:

“I became involved with Raising A Reader MA years ago after a friend introduced me to the Emerging Leaders Board. The Emerging Leaders Board spreads awareness and raises funds so RAR MA can continue to help more children in need. I connected with this organization since English was not my first language and I struggled with reading at an early age. I was extremely fortunate to have wonderful parents who helped me overcome those issues. I am riding for the second time because Raising a Reader MA helps children who do not have the same luxuries that I had as a child. One of the main reasons I truly support this organization is because they not only assist children with reading success but they also work with the parents to educate them on how to share books with their children, which allows the parents to be part of their children’s success as well.”
