Summer Story Times in the Park is a program organized by Raising A Reader MA with funding support from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts.

Raising A Reader MA offers an evidence-based early literacy program that helps families of young children develop, practice, and maintain habits of reading together at home. Their work, which both increases access to books and offers families tools and support for strengthening the culture of reading at home, is driven by 25 years of research that shows the single most significant factor affecting a child’s lifelong success is being regularly read to by a parent or other primary adult caregiver before starting kindergarten. Raising A Reader MA’s early literacy program is delivered to nearly 600 children in Everett every year through partnerships with early childhood centers, and the Everett Public Schools.
