Theme: Shapes

Mouse Shapes is the perfect way to introduce a conversation with your child about the math that we find hidden in the world’s shapes.

After reading, choose an activity to do with your child. Here is a list of some that we have found for you!

Extension Activities:

1. Take a walk through your neighborhood! Notice the shapes of houses and street signs, and talk about them together.
2. Play with toys that have clear and distinct shapes! Find some Legos, blocks, or balls where you and your child can see, feel and manipulate the shapes together.
3. Make a collage! Find an old (age appropriate) magazine or newspaper, and cut out the shapes that you find. Then, paste them together on a larger piece of paper. You can hang up your masterpieces on the fridge for display!
