Theme: Color Association/Animals
Using an I Spy style of writing, this book helps children learn to associate colors with objects.
Have your child repeat the words from the book with you to learn how to associate colors with objects. Point to the pictures and encourage them to get excited! Then, choose an activity to do with them. Here is a list of some that we have found for you!
Extension Activities:
1. Act it out! Call out an animal from the book and tell your child to move around the room and make movements and sounds like that animal.
2. Sort colors with this activity.
3. Play I Spy! Say, “I spy the color (color),” and let your child guess what you are looking at that is that color. Then switch roles.
4. Print out an activity from this blog online and share it with your child! Download and print the activities.
5. Make A Brown Bear Snack! Follow the recipe for Brown Bear Toast or French Toast here!
