Lawrence Family Fun Literacy Day Highest Attendance in History:
Lawrence, MA –
What do you get when you add Mayor Michael J. Sullivan, the Lawrence Public Library, and RARÂ MA?
The highest number of families attending the Lawrence Family Fun Literacy Day event in history, that’s what! The highlight of the day was unequivocally story time. A RAR MA favorite, Hooway for Wodney Wat by Helen Lester, was wead, ehem, read by Mayor Michael Sullivan to some of the 140 families who attended. The event also featured parachute and hula hoop games, craft activities, free books, and the opportunity to sign up for a shiny new library card.
The Family Fun Literacy Day was hosted by the Lawrence Public Library and sponsored by Pathways to Family Success Partnership and Greater Lawrence Community Action Council, Inc.
