Raising A Reader MA Holds Series of Conferences with Cohort 2010
Raising A Reader MA held a series of Conferences during the month of November to launch its new program with its 74 family childcare providers throughout Greater Boston and Lawrence. The selected Raising A Reader MA FCC Cohort 2010 will continue to work closely with Raising A Reader MA coordinators in order to provide little readers with high quality early literacy experiences in the childcare program as well as in the children’s home.

s Attend Literacy Event
In partnership with Raising A Reader MA, Lawrence celebrated its annual Family Fun Literacy Day at the Lawrence Library on Nov. 10th 2010. Representatives from local stores made an appearance, bringing along snacks, freebies, and raffle prizes. All children received a free book, participated in craft activities, and were treated to a dance performance. A much anticipated story time also took place with Rep. Devers, Superintendent of School Dr. Bergeron, and Chief Romero, who all took turns reading a book from the Raising A Reader MA book bag.
